Eucharistic Congress

Places are still available if you would like to attend on Saturday 8 September in Liverpool.  A coach is being arranged from Leicester to take people to the Congress.  If you are interested in finding out more, please contact the parish office.

Sacrament of Confirmation 2019

Those who will be in secondary school from September this year will be eligible to join the next Confirmation preparation which will begin in the autumn.  Please email the parish office giving your full name, address, date of birth, date and place of baptism and telephone number if you would like to join the next Confirmation class.

Dates For Your Diary  

Becoming a Catholic

There will be a meeting for any adult who is interested in becoming a Catholic.  This will take place on Saturday 7 July at 12 noon.  

‘Come and See’ – A day for Altar Servers

Saturday 7 July at Our Lady & St Edwards, Nottingham.  Open to boys and girls aged 11+.  For details see the poster on the notice-board.

Holy Hour for Vocations

Saturday 7 July from 5.30pm.  While Fr John is hearing Confessions, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed and people are encouraged to join in this quiet time of prayer for vocations.

Deepening our Faith

At the Rosmini Centre on Saturday 7 July 10.00am Mass followed by Bishop Robert Barron DVD The Spirit of the Liturgy at 11.00 am. Shared table with soup and a roll. Please book in advance. All are welcome.

Friday Faith Formation

Beginning on Friday evenings from 24 July 7.00 – 8.30pm in the parish hall.  Over the summer, there will be a series of presentations / films / discussions to help nourish our faith.  

LOROS Fundraising Evening

Bernadette Fenn is going "into the wild" to raise money for LOROS As part of her fundraising, there will be an evening at the Chef and Spice restaurant on 10 July 7.00pm. Tickets £15.00. If you would like a ticket please contact Bernadette on 0116 299 3911.

Annual Rosary Rally

Sunday 26 August at Mount St Bernard’s Abbey.  Commencing with Mass at 2.00pm.  Break for picnic and resuming at 4.00pm with Rosary Procession, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Blessing of the sick and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.  Full details on the notice-board.
