Fr John would like to wish everyone in the parish every blessing at this most Holy time in the Church’s year.
Parish Fundraising Event As a token of thanks for permitting limited use of our car park, the owners of the restaurant are offering us a free fundraising evening at the Chef & Spice Restaurant. All the proceeds of the ticket sales and raffle will go to support out two parish charities – The Laura Centre and The Bridge Homelessness to Hope. The ticket price is £10 per person, which includes an ‘all you can eat’ buffet of predominantly Indian food, although some non-Indian options are also available. Drinks will be extra. Notices Please Pray For Terence Meechan, who died recently. His funeral Mass will be offered on Friday 27 April at 12 noon. May he rest in peace. Easter Sacraments At the Easter Vigil, Godsway Onyamiama, Sheri Ibilola and Simba Mwoyosviyi received the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion. The following children were also baptised – Joanna Gandazha, Tayanna and Ayanna Mwoyosviyi. On Easter Sunday morning Ava Zara Kendi Baariu was baptised. Please pray for them. Thank you To everyone who has contributed to the Holy Week and Easter celebration in the parish - church cleaners, flower arrangers, musicians, sacristans, altar servers, readers, collectors and those who decorate the Church. An afternoon of Devotions, beginning at 2.30pm and ending with Mass at 5.00pm. Please see the poster on the notice-board for full details. There are also Novena cards available for you to take should you wish to do so. The Novena starts on Good Friday and ends on Divine Mercy Sunday. Healing Service Rosmini Centre on Friday 13 April starting at 7.00pm with the Rosary followed by Mass and prayers for healing. UCM Next meeting will be on Wednesday 18 April at 10.00am. Blessed Sacrament Procession Saturday 28 April led by Bishop Patrick, the procession begins at 2.00pm at St Mary’s Church, Hyson Green Nottingham and ends at 4.00pm at St Barnabas Cathedral, Nottingham. Join Catholics from across the diocese to witness the joy of our faith through the streets of Nottingham. All welcome. The timetable for the day is now displayed on the notice-board. Rosary around the Coast - for Faith, Life and Peace in the British Isles Sunday, 29 April 2018. Transport will depart Leicester for this event on the East Coast at around 11.00am. This year we are joining with Nottingham and Loughborough pro-life groups to travel to London together. We will arrive in London by midday in time for the March at 1.00pm and should be back by 8.30pm. Tickets are £15 per head, £10 for unwaged and students, and £7.50 for any children (u16).
